Venice was established by Julie and John Taylor and opened for business on 7 August 2000. Now in our 10th year of trading Venice has become a much loved riverside dining experience by both locals and tourists serving over 500,000 customers. We are regularly visited by many of our past brides and grooms who have chosen our unique atmosphere and romantic waterside location for their weddings now numbering some 300 couples.

In 2000 Julie and John lived locally in Admiralty Towers and after an extensive tour of Europe in 1999, the highlight of wandering the narrow laneways of Venice and the atmosphere of Piazza San Marco was never far from their mind. An opportunity to purchase the restaurant at the base of their building was presented and two days later a couple from the world of design, architecture, landscaping and building were budding restaurateurs with a very steep learning curve in front of them. With the recent trip to Venice in mind and the superb riverside location,the theme for the restaurant was born.

As designers and avid travellers who had enjoyed eating in many parts of the world, we always thought we would be able to create an atmosphere and dining experience that would, for a short time transport the diner to another place so they could forget about normal life for a few hours and enjoy our hospitality in this unique setting. With a team of talented chefs, apprentices, friendly floor staff and managers Venice delivers a truly unique dining experience from what is undoubtedly the best located restaurant in Brisbane.

We have travelled to Venice several times over ten years bringing back unique masks,glassware, objects d'art which are proudly displayed in the restaurant. Venice is open 7 days for lunch and dinner and for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

We specialise in organising your special day whether it be a Wedding, Private Party, Function, Corporate Dinner, Conference or Christmas Party. Clients may secure either one of the two rooms or the entire restaurant for their special occasion and let our capable managers and staff take the worry out of your day so you may enjoy your time at Venice.
